Our first long trip
We have been planning on visiting our friends Don, Lisa, and their son Ryan since January. Since they're about to have their second child in August we thought we had better visit soon before their spare room becomes the nursery. We have a pretty good trip up, mainly due to Zach sleeping well and the loan of a DVD Player for the car from my friend Louise. It was awesome, especially on the way home when both kids were whingy after their sleeps and we were stuck in traffic. I think we will be thinking of purchasing one of these miracle machines for ourselves for future long trips. We had a lovely time visiting them all and were very spoilt by Lisa cooking up a storm for us. Apparently she loves baking so we reaped the rewards of this - she definitely puts me to shame considering she's also 32 weeks pregnant. I couldn't choose between the 2 photos of Zach in the car as they were both cheeky photos of him so you got both - check out the boat and trailor behind the car. Ryan's grandfathers made them.
Mid 30's here I am!

A lovely day
My cousin Peta got married on the weekend and it was not only a big moment for them but also for Jason and I as we went to the wedding child free. I have been weaning Zachary off me and on to the bottle for the last month in anticipation for this day and although we of course missed the boys it was lovely to sit down and eat and enjoy others company without thinking about the kids. Jason's sister Rachael and her partner Aaron looked after the kids for us, and after everyone scoffing at my very detailed list of what to do in relation to dinner, bath and bed for the kids and also contingencies in case Zach woke during the night before we got home, Rachael said the list was very helpful. They had a great time together playing and Lochie was quite taken with Aaron much to to Rachael's distress. They love you too Rachael. Thanks Rachael & Aaron for the great job you did.
