Family Photo
We haven't had a photo of the four of us for a very long time. I happened to mention this at the birthday breakfast the other day so an impromptu photo session resulted. This was the best of the bunch but considering the first photos had Zach crying in them, it's not too bad - thank you to Nanna & Aunty Roslyn for acting like clowns to get the kids to smile - I love my family.
Birthday - Part 2
I have memories and pictures of myself when I was little licking the beaters and bowls after Mum had made a cake and put it in the oven. Lochie hasn't really been into sweet things to eat so he's never been keen to do any licking when it's been offered. Zach on the other hand is my sweets boy and as you can see from the first photo, he's a natural at the licking part. Part 2 of the Birthday was a breakfast at our place for Jason and Dad with the whole family able to come as Ros and family were down from Toowoomba for the weekend. Sorry but this is the only photo I took of the morning - they had a pavlova cake as they both love pavlova.
Jason's Birthday 2009
Another Birthday passes by and this time it was Jason and my Dad's turn as there birthday is on the same day. On the actual day of their birthday I made a cake for Jason and had 4 very 'helpful' little people help to decorate it (I was looking after my neices Ellen and Olivia for the day also). Zachary's decorating is the big clump of sprinkles towards the bottom of the cake. When Jason got home, we celebrated by having fish and chips with our friends Tracy & Georgia, and Georgia's friend Chelsea, followed by the cake of course!
Kindy Photo 2009
This is Lochie's Kindy photo from this year. He looks so grown up in his Kindy shirt. I can't believe that next year he'll be wearing a school uniform - where's my little boy gone!
Boys Dress Up
One night before bed the boys decided that it was dress up time and they actually cooperated enough for me to get these photos of them. Zach is Davy Crockett with a hat I bought in Disney World when I visited there back in 1999 with my friend Kerri, and of course Lochie is Batman if you hadn't realised. He got the mask for free when I bought him the pajamas this summer.
A Day at the Beach
It's terrible to say that I'm only now blogging about things that happened 3 months ago but here I am. These photos were taken while Jason was still on holidays early Sept and we headed up to Kings Beach for the day. As you can see the boys had a great time running through the water sprays they have there and playing in the shallow pools of water on the beach.

Garden Makeover
I have to admit that we really aren't what you would call natural gardeners. We can mow the lawn (well Jason and his 2 'helpers' do - I just sit and observe the 'helpers' in case they get too close to the mower), pull out weeds but that's pretty much where it ends. Our front garden has needed a makeover for a long time after we pulled the last plants out as they had overgrown the space. After taking my Mum to Bunnings to buy new plants (she knows which plants to buy thank goodness), Jason and the boys set to work preparing the soil and then we planted our new plants. We were all very proud of our efforts and after about 2 mths - (yes I'm behind in my blogging again!) they are flourishing and it's looking great. Zach especially is always wanting to know when I'm going to water the plants so he can 'help'.
