Zach being Zach. Recently when we take photos of him he seems to squint his eyes so it's nice to get a lovely smiling photo of him with no squint to be seen.

Finally a decent photo of the boys in normal clothes - hooray I say! Hooray I also say that the Blog is now updated after being about 6mths behind. Lets hope I don't get that slack again - I promise I will try.

One recent Sunday afternoon we decided to head to Samford and take the boys bikes and scooters for them to ride. They had a great time as you can see.

Sandpit Construction

Finally the sand starts to go in and both boys are ready with their sandpit toys ready to go when Daddy gives the green light.

The boys couldn't wait anymore and while more sand continues to be put in the sandpit play begins.

Both boys very excited that the sandpit is finally here and able to be used.

Back in November 2010 I started the process of buying a new Sandpit for the boys at our new house. The intention was that we would have it ready to go when we moved in. Well things didn't exactly go to plan and although I was mocked at the time for sending it, after sending a four page hand written letter to head office in Melbourne of Myers about my experience in trying to purchase the Sandpit and then again having more trouble and having Management here in Brisbane intervene on my behalf, we finally received by express courier on Christmas Eve the very anticipated Sandpit. As you can see from the smiles on the boys faces it was a good outcome and one I'm glad I kept pushing for.

I can't believe I'm Blogging this.

I can't even say that the boys were forced to wear the shirts when they are smiling this much can I.

One night just before bed, it happened so quickly but some how the boys all of a sudden each had one of Jason's team's football jerseys on and were running downstairs excitedly to have photos in them and although I'm not complaining about them being happy about being in a photo as this isn't always the case - I don't support the same teams as Jason and neither does most of Australia - I would have preferred different clothes on them - but they did look cute - I guess.

New Year, New School

Well Lochie heads into Year One this year and as we have also moved house we also made the decision to move schools as well to a school which is closer. He was actually really positive about going to the new school and very keen on his first day which you can see from the photo. We are so proud of him - he's growing up so fast.

Christmas Day 2010

The construction of the trampoline. If it wasn't for wonderful Uncle Greg (my brother-in-law) it would never have happened so quickly. He and Jason were a great team and got it up on Christmas Day and gave us entertainment since it was raining some of the time.

More Lego Creations

This lego garden is complete with machines to keep the garden in order, a basketball hoop and a pool at the back - not bad!

When we moved to our new home it was obvious that we would need to buy a new mower to mow all the extra yard we have as the mower we have is quite old - it's actually my Mum and Dad's old mower and they kindly gave it to us when they no longer needed it when they moved. One day Lochie went with Jason to a few mower shops to check out what would suit our needs best and so the lego creations after this trip seemed to have a distinct garden care theme. The bottom photo on the left is the ride on mower Lochie built from memory after seeing one once at the shop that day.

Rainbow Boy

One afternoon Zach and I were home alone and after a rain storm a beautiful rainbow came out to the side of our house and Zach was so excited by it and wanted to have a photo with it so here it is.

Christmas comes to the new house

Boys excited that we finally got to put up the Christmas Tree in our new Home.

Life has been very busy with the move to the new house and everything so the Christmas Tree got put up a bit late this yea, but the boys were just as enthusiastic as ever and were very helpful with the process when the time to put up the tree finally came. Hopefully next year we will be more organised and have it up a lot earlier.

We had been told by the new Neighbours that the people who used to own our house used to feed Kookaburras. We didn't give it much of a thought but the first morning I was putting out some washing, one flew down onto the fence. I went over to say hello and it didn't fly away and then 2 more flew down. I didn't have any raw meat except ham so I got that and they tried it but weren't overly fussed so Nanna picked up some raw pet mince for me and they loved it. Well since then it's been a regular event most weeks that they come by every few nights for a feed. They don't seem to mind who feeds them and even some of our visitors have been able to feed them if they have been here at the right time. It's a great part of our life at our new home.
