The mottley crew looking at the Myer Christmas Windows - this years theme was from the Olivia storybooks (our Olivia - my neice was very impressed with this). Other photos are from inside Myers where they have a train the kids can have a ride on and writing and sending their letters to Santa.
We've started making it a Christmas tradition that we go into the city and see the Myer Christmas windows and then head into Myer to their Christmas display which includes a train which the kids can have a ride on. Last year we took the bus but this year we took the train - Zach's first train ride and we had a lovely time. Ros's husband Greg and his mum also joined us this year and I think Greg was exhausted after having the 4 kids to keep track of - Mum, Ros and I just smirked a bit as we do it all the time! Anyway after heading home for a rest, we then headed off to the church Christmas Carols in the Park which were also great fun - Zach was a bit older this year and so was able to stay awake for all of it this time.

Kindy Christmas Concert
Lochie had his Kindy (Pre-prep) Christmas Concert on Monday 7th of December, so we all headed - with Nanna as well, to watch what the kids had been working on for a few weeks. All of the kids did so well and everyone participated which was great. I was so proud of Lochie as he sang, danced and did all the actions to the songs. He even went up to get his present from Santa all by himself and even stayed for a photo which hasn't happened in past years - so many things on the night showed us how much our little boy has grown up over the past year. We will miss this Kindy in 2010 as they really were a lovely group of children and families. Lochie will have 3 of the kids in his class at his new school in 2010 so hopefully that will make his transition in to Prep a lot easier.
Christmas - Movie World Kids Party
Lochie & Nanna on the Merry-go-round.
Lochie & Jason on the roller coaster - they're the ones at the top left on the page that you can see.
Lochie practising his driving skills - he was heaps more confident this time and even overtook another car which I thought was impressive.
Zach having fun in the water area - we didn't have any togs with us but he was happy like this but as he's so white we had to pull him away before he got sunburnt which he was not happy about - note to self - next time - take togs!
This year Jason's work's kids party was at Movie World. We took Nanna with us again and all had a great day - the fact that the buffet lunch was in air-conditioned comfort on a very hot day was very welcomed and we again enjoyed the stunt show, and Lochie went on the rollercoaster with Jason.

Christmas Happenings (Part 1)
Lochie very proudly sitting in front of the Christmas tree he and Zach helped decorate.
The best photo we have of Zach on the same day.
Well Jason doesn't allow me to put up the Christmas Tree until after the 1st of December (he tells me it's bad luck - I just think he knows I would put it up mid November if I had a chance as I love Christmas time) so as we all wanted to be together to do it - we waited until the 5th Dec to put it up as Jason had the Saturday off work. Fun was had by all and although it's not the perfected tree that I used to have before kids - it was a lot of fun and we all thought it looked pretty great - the boys also loved the fibre optic lights on the tree and every night before bed in the lead up to Christmas they would ask for the lights to go on.
