Crane Boys

My brother Steve is a crane driver, and up until recently had been working on a job nearby us at the Freemasons Aged Home at Sandgate which is about 10mins drive from our place. The crane he was working on was a Tower Crane and we were lucky that the day they were taking it down was a Saturday. The boys, as you know love all things to do with construction so we headed off to watch what happens. Steve had been there for hours but thank goodness it was only about 20mins after we arrived that the most exciting part where they take the arm of the crane off took place. The boys were enthralled. We were hoping to see them load a pieced of the crane on a truck and the truck drive off but that was going to take a lot longer so we decided to head off as the day was getting quite warm and the boys interest was waning at this point.
